Tiraya / Human

Tiraja has lived with her uncle Tairon since she was a child. After Kiantaro destroyed Ansum and the Shadowlands, he brought the then seven-year-old to live with him in Hysaria. Tiraja doesn't see much of the outside world and lives isolated from the events on Zarwuun. When a stranger appears at her uncle's house one day, it raises many questions for her, which Tairon leaves unanswered. Annoyed, Tiraja sets off that night with her horse Tentar to look for answers in Ansum. There, she learns that she was activated by the magical sword Haruna as a child. Only she, as the Chosen One, can use it to defeat the Dark Mage.

Lollm - Golem
Quollo
Lollm is descended from the Qollos (rock creature Golems) who left Zarwuun some time ago. Only Lollm was left behind. His family has fled to the magic realm of Zandura, to which Lollm has no access, as he is the only one not yet activated. He, therefore volunteers to be tested by the Five Wise Men in the hope that he will be accepted into the Citadel of Mage. Only if he manages to be activated can he return to his family.

Gnox, Sir Gnosterville form Xernovia / Human

Gnox is a proud knight who cannot come to terms with the fact that he was dismissed from his knighthood because of a failed mission. He has been addicted to alcohol ever since. To prove that he is not yet too old to be a knight, he signs up for a test with the Five Wise Men to support the Chosen One.

Wendul / Cloud Gnome

Little is known about Wendul’s kind, as Cloud Gnomes are not mentioned in any of Zarwuun’s history books. He is highly self-assured and always believes he knows best. At the same time, he is driven by a desire to uncover his origins, as he has no memory of his past. He joins Tiraja on her journey to defeat the dark mage.

Luny / Ylun (Nr.654A89)

Luny belongs to the mysterious people of the Ylune – fairy-like beings who live in beehive-shaped dwellings deep within the Valley of the God-Mountains. When dark forces threaten her family, she leaves her hidden home and joins Tiraya and the companions. With her gift of shining light in the darkness, she brings not only magic but also hope on their perilous journey.

Sander / Human

Sander, who has taken a liking to Tiraya, helps her escape from the port creatures. He joins Tiraya and her companions to defeat the dark mage.

Heltoc / Human- Shadowland hybrid

Heltoc is the son of the then-Shadow King of the Shadow People. His father wanted a powerful wizard for a son so that he could win against his enemy, the Ansumarians. To this end, his father chose the most powerful sorceress as his wife. Unfortunately, Heltoc could not control his abilities, which is why his father considered him a disappointment. When he runs away from home at the age of 14, he is seized by Kiantaro as a host. Heltoc repeatedly succeeds in gaining control over his body. Kiantaro convinces Heltoc to give him free rein to take revenge on his father. He realises too late that Kiantaro not only wants revenge but also wants human lives.
